AMANDUS J.RUPP
SIOUX CITY — Amandus J. Rupp, 60, of Sioux city, died Monday in St. Vincent's Hospital in Sioux City following a short illness. He was born Aug. 1,1913 in Cherokee County to Fred J. Rupp and Elizabeth Beckmman Rupp. In January 1945, he married Clara Kellen in LeMars, and they operated the Western Auto Store in LeMars for nine years . She died in 1961. He married Ferne Lentz on March 9, 1968 in Council Bluffs, and they have lived in Sioux City where be was employed by Western Iowa Tech for the past 5 years. He was a veteran of World War II
.
In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Leonard, and a daughter in infancy.Survivors are his wife; two sisters, Mrs. Melvin (Bertille) Walstead of Fulton, Mo. and Mrs.Kenneth (Amelia) Buhman of Council Bluffs and one brother, James Rupp of Des Moines,
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church in Cherokee. Rev. Ralph Reimhart will be the celebrant of the Requiem High Mass. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery at Cherokee.
The Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Greenwod Funeral Home at Cherokee.
