Longtime Farmer

Webster Akers, 96, died Monday
morning in Sioux Valley Memorial
Hospital following a brief illness. He
had been a resident of Cherokee and
Larrabee most of his life.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m.
from the Boothby Funeral Home,
Cherokee. Mr. Don Hensley will officiate.
Burial will be in the Afton
Cemetery.
Mr. Akers was born March 28,1887,
in Pennsylvania. On Feb. 6, 1913, he
married Ada Smith in Cherokee. He
was a farmer all his life.
Survivors include one son, Glenn
Akers, Arlee, Mont.; one daughter,
Miss Margaret Akers, San Clemente,
Calif.; seven grandchildren; nine
great-grandchildren and one sister,
Mrs. Virginia Johnson, Green Valley,
Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his
wife and two sons.
