The Cherokee Times - Cherokee, Iowa, Februar 18, 1886

George Barnes, a brother of W. H. Barnes and Mrs. W. H. Foresman, of this city, was killed the 6th inst., out on the Union Pacific Railroad. He was an engineer, and went to his death as many another brave boy has done, in what would seem to be the inevitable railroad accident.
