Mrs. Richard Woltman
Opal Edith Jenness, only daughter of Harry and Blanche Jenness, was born on a farm near Quimby Aug. 15, 1917 and died at Madelia, Minn., June 15, 1948 at the age of 30 years and 10 months.
Mrs. Woltman was thrown from her riding horse June 13, complications causing her death two days later.
She graduated from Quimby High School with the class of 1935. She was a member of the Methodist Church. On Oct. 26, 1935 she married Richard Woltman. To this union two sons were born, Richard Dean and Herman Harry.
Mrs. Woltman is survived by her widower and two sons of Madelia, Minn.; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Jenness, one brother, Jerry, and a grandmother, Mrs. Aminta Sievert, all of Quimby, besides many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held June 17 at Madelia and later at the Methodist Church in Cherokee with Rev. J.E. Feller officiating.
Music was provided by Mrs. Allen Conley, singing "In the Sweet Bye and Bye," and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus." Miss Irene Brooks was at the piano.
Pallbearers were Paul Jenness, Oliver Jenness, Westly Jenness, Merlyn Peck, Eldon Woltman and Kenneth Woltman.
Interment was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Cherokee.
