Charles Kent, a 14 year old boy of Diamond township, was poisoned last Friday afternoon and died the following night. He in company with a younger boy were out hunting, and ate some of the wild plants which they found growing on the prairie. It is supposed that the plant he ate was wild parsnip. Soon after starting for home young Kent fell to the ground. His companion helped him up and they almost made it to Kent's house when he fell again. He was carried inside and the physician was called, but when he arrived the patient was beyond the reach of help. The deceased's father was dead, and he made his home with his mother, Mrs. Snell.
