PASSED AWAY TUESDAY MORNING AT HOME AT QUIMBY
----
Quimby, Iowa (Special to the Times.) -- Mrs. Sylvia Barnes passed away at her home Tuesday morning, May 30, after an illness of several months caused by a cancer. She leaves her husband, a son and her mother, Mrs. Kate Knight, besides a large number of other relatives to mourn their loss. It can well be said of Mrs. Barnes that she was a very patient and gentle sufferer and no matter when you saw her she always had a smile for you, which was out of characteristics of her goodness. The entire community extend their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved relatives. The funeral will be held Thursday.
Mrs. Mable Weaver and children and Laura Fox came down from Meriden for memorial exercises Tuesday.
