YVONNE PETRICH MILETICH
(March 21, 1920 - September 17, 2008)

YVONNE PETRICH MILETICH, 88, of Rochester, Minnesota, former long time Waterloo resident and originally from Cleghorn, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday evening September 17, 2008 at the Samaritan Bethany Heights in Rochester.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 22nd, at 2 p.m. at the Cleghorn Christian Church in Cleghorn, Iowa. Rev. Bob Blair will officiate. Burial will be in the Meriden Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Online condolences can be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com.

Yvonne was born on March 21, 1920 at Cleghorn, Iowa to Herman & Earlena (Springer) Petrich. She graduated from Cleghorn High School in 1938. She attended Morningside College, the University of Iowa and the University of Northern Iowa graduating with a teaching Degree. She was married to Nick J. Miletich on February 23, 1946 at the Christian Church in Cleghorn, Iowa. She taught school in Marcus, Ft. Dodge, Davenport and finally in Waterloo, Iowa for 25 years until retiring in June of 1994. After her retirement, she continued to substitute teach until 1998. She had been a resident of Rochester, Minn. the past 10 years and prior to this had lived in Waterloo, Iowa for many years. She was a lifelong member of the Cleghorn Christian Church, a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star, White Shrine, Pythian Sisters, Kappa Delta Pi Sorority, and the American Legion Auxiliary. Yvonne was proud of her 57 years of teaching; she never forgot her ties to Cleghorn, Iowa; she enjoyed acrobatics, reading, dogs and crafts.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Nick J. Miletich on March 20, 2003.
