Obituary -- Grace Miles Haynes

The funeral of Mrs. Albert Haynes, nee Grace Miles, was held Tuesday afternoon at the Latter Day Saints church, at 2:30 o'clock and large numbers of sorrowing friends and relatives paid last respects to this noble young woman who was so early taken from earth.

Grace Miles was born February 3, 1898, in Cherokee. She had reached the age of only 24 years and 8 days, death taking her Sunday morning, following an operation. A little over two years ago she was married to Albert Haynes, custodian of the Cherokee schools, and five months ago a baby boy was born to them. Besides the grieved husband and this little boy, there survive her the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Z. A. Miles, now of Parker, S. D., and five brothers and four sisters. The brothers, all living near Parker, are Albert, Lloyd, Fred, Walter and Roy, and the sisters are Bessie, Nellie and Myrtle. Bessie and Nellie have been at the Haynes home for some time.
