Rose M. Joseph, 80, of Cherokee passed away Saturday, March 1, 2008 in the Cherokee Villa Nursing and Rehab Center.

Memorial services were held March 4 at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, with Pastor Jim Steen officiating. Rose's remains were cremated, and there was no visitation.

Rose was born on July 12, 1927 in Norman, Okla. to Sig & Mary (Glatley) Olson. She was married to Victor J. Joseph Jr. in July of 1957 in Reno, Nev. She worked as a Librarian for the Ventura, California County Library , and had been a resident of Cherokee since 1989.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Victor J. Joseph Jr. in 1973, one son, Craig Joseph, in 1994 and two sisters.

She is survived by one son, Mark Joseph and his wife Mary of Belleville, Kan; six grandchildren, Robert and Kyle Joseph, Anthony and Ricci Vitrano, Jennifer and Michelle Natali, and one great-grandson, Joey.
