Memorial services for Bernadine Glawe, 77, of Aurelia IA will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday , Feb. 25, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church in Aurelia, with Rev. Alva Hohl officiating. There will be no visitation.The Redig Funeral Home in Aurelia is in charge of arrangements.
Bernadine Joan Godfrey was born Apr. 20, in Algona, IA, the daughter of Lloyd and Oma (Steinhulber) Godfrey. She graduated from the Aurelia High School and attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls for 2 years, graduating with her degree in elementary education. She was teaching in Boxholm, IA when she married William Charles Glawe on Dec 25, 1950 in Adel Ia. She then joined Bill on the farm south of Aurelia. She was a member of the Congregational Church Of Christ in Sioux City. She enjoyed gardening, sports, and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her 3 daughters; Pat and her husband Roger Honsbruch of Sioux City, Sharon Glawe of Kissimmee FL, and Donna Glawe of Cherokee. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren; Heather and her husband Louie Centeno of Kissimmee, Greg and his wife Megann Honsbruch of West Lafayette ,IN , Brent Honsbruch of Parachute , CO, and Kelsey Honsbruch of Sioux City and many relatives and friends.
