Jean Alice Mason Roe, 60, died Sunday, March 11, 2007 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.

Funeral services were held Mar.14 at the Cleghorn Presbyterian Church in Cleghorn, Iowa. Rev. Michael Fitzsimmons of First Presbyterian Church of Carroll officiated.

Burial was at the Meriden Cemetery, and a memorial service was also held at the Dahn & Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll.

Born on July 25, 1946 at Cherokee, Jean Alice Mason was the daughter of Lyle and Lorrene Mason. She attended school at Meriden-Cleghorn High School. After graduation, she went to St. Lukes in Sioux City for nurse's training. After completing her training, Jean worked in the Cardiac Unit of Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital for several years, and for a short time worked at the MHI in Cherokee. She was married to Michael Roe for thirty years, and just recently moved from Cherokee to Carroll to be with her parents at Swan House.

Surviving are her parents Lyle and Lorene Mason of Carroll, and a brother Tim and his wife Jacquie of Glidden, as well as nieces and nephews Jeremy and Tami Mason of Grimes and Brian and Tricia Wolterman of Audubon.Jean was preceded in death by a brother, James Lee, and her grandparents George and Olive Mason and William and Inez Drefke.
