Richard "Dick" Martin, 72, of Sac City, Ia, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2005, at Loring Hospital in Sac City
Funeral services will be held on Sat. Oct. 22, 10:30 A.M., at the United Methodist Church in Sac City with Rev. Dean McPherson officiating. Buriel will be in the Oakland cemetery in Sac City under the direction of the Farber and Otteman Funeral Home in Sac City.

Dick was born on Jan. 31, 1933, in Sac County, the son of Paul Frank Hubert Martin and Beulah Iola ( Marrington) Martin. He grew up in Sac County and graduated from Sac City High School in 1950.

On Apr. 20, 1952, He was united in Marriage to Bonnie Dyslin in Aurelia Ia.. This union was blessed with 3 sons and 1 daughter. They farmed in the Sac City area. Dick also worked at Don's Farm Supply in Newell until his retirement in 1998.
Dick was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Sac City. He was also a member of the Sac City Lion's Club.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, 3 sons,; Daniel Martin and his wife Kay of Sac City; Bruce Martin of Newell, Jack Martin and his wife Marcia of Sac City ; a daughter Nancy Luchtel and her Husband Dexter of Warrensburg Mo. Other survivors are his sister Thelma Mussellman and her husband Bill and brother Robert Martin and his wife Eileen all of Sac City.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Jackie, and grandson Kyle.
