Fred M. Molyneux, age 71, died last Tuesday shortly after midnight at his home on S. first after a short illness.About 3 weeks ago, Molyneux was striken in his real estate office on N. First and on regaining his heath partially he retired from business. Last summer he spent at Glengary and on the lake and seemed to be greatly improved,in health. About 3 weeks ago his health began failing, ending in his demise last Tuesday.Mr. Molyneux was born in Stillwater County, Pa. and afterwards removed to Iowa.He married Jennie Sanborn, daughter of John A. and Susan ( Blake) Sanborn of Cherokee, Ia. She preceded him in death about 1 year ago. In 1894 he joined Burning Bush Lodge of Masons at Correctionville, Ia. In 1906 he moved to Sand point and opened a law office, later branching out into real estate and insurance in connection with his law office.HE was a staunch Democrat and was several times secretary of the county central commitee. At different times he was Justice of the Peace. in 1908 he transferred his Mosonic membership to the Lakeside Lodge here. Three years ago he was High Priest of the Royal Arch Masons. He also joined the Woodmill Lodge and later the Presbyterian Church. He is survived by 2 sons, Russell and Guy, the later from Metaline and Russell at home. He also has a brother who lives in Cherokee Ia. The funeral services were held at the home Friday afternnon with Rev. William Westwood Officiating and the Masans conducting their service.
The body was taken to Spokane for cremation. The pallbearers were R.S. McCrea, L.G. Thomson, H.T. Ireion, Andrew Christianson, E.D. Farmin, and Peter Johnson. Honoary Pallbearers were J.W. Thompson, O.J. Bandolin. E.K. Finrow, and E.L. Platz.
