The remains of Mrs. John (Susan) Sanborn arrived last evening from Sand Point, Idaho, where she died on the 18th Inst. (Dec. 17, 1907.) The funeral will occur at the old home in Afton Township this afternnon (12-23-1907) by Rev. Dr. Archer.
The deceased, Susan A. (Blake) Sanborn was born at Dorchester Grafton county N.H. on Dec. 26, 1838 the oldest daughter of Chas. D. and Jerusha ( Flanders) Blake. She was united in marriage with Mr. Sanborn Nov. 4, 1856 at Lyne, N.H.. They came to Ia . in 1868, settling in Tama County and removing to Cherokee County in 1869 being among the pioneer settlers of Afton Township.
Two children are left to mourn the death of an always faithful and devoted mother, and her demise will be keenly felt by other relatives and many old friends. The children are Mrs. M.F. ( Jennie) Molyneux of Idaho, and Frank Sanborn, who resides on the old home place.
Mr. And Mrs. Molyneux and Frank Sanborn came with the body from Idaho.
