Anita Carrie Lynch, 76, of Tempe, AZ passed away peacefully on Sat. Oct. 7, 2006 at 12:05 a.m. while embraced by loving family. Anita was born in Santa Fe NM on June 6, 1930 to Andrew and Margaret ( Hubbell) Rich. After graduating from Santa Fe High School in 1948, Anita attended New Mexico A & M for 2 years until moving to Minneapolis, MN to attend Northwest Institute of Medical Technology where she earned accreditation as a Laboratory and Radiological Technician. She worked at Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital in Cherokee, IA where she became friends of Muriel Blake who introduced her to a cousin, John D. Lynch, who she would marry on Oct 1, 1958 and have 4 children. Retiring from Cigna after 21 years, Anita continued her nature of service, volunteering with Hospice Of The Valley and St. Vincent De Paul, was a 25 gallon (plus) doner to to United Blood Services, and a long-standing parishoner of Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church in Tempe, AZ. Anita is preceeded in death by both her parents, her Husband, Jack on July 18 , 1993, her brother, Andrew Rich Jr. She is survived by her sister , Cynthia and husband Max McDonald, and sister-in-law Sylvia Rich, all of Canyon City, CO, her children, Martin D. Lynch, Lawrence M. Lynch, Karen M. Scholl, and Margaret D. Bennett; daughter-in-law, Shirley Lynch , and son-in-laws, Mark Scholl, and Jon Bennett all of Tempe. Anita held a special place in her heart for her 3 grandchildren, Josh Lynch, Joey Lynch, Josalina Lynch and nieces and nephews from the Rich, McDonald and Hesch families. Anita demonstrated true unconditional love for everyone she met, and is loved by all those who knew her. Funeral mass was at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 13, 2006 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 2121 S. Rural Rd. in Tempe.
