News was received in the city last evening of the death of James VanWagenen, who was removed from Cherokee to his home in Rock Rapids a short time ago. He died yesterday morning. The funeral will occur Friday morning. Mrs. VanWagenen made many friends while in Cherokee with her husband, who was doctored here, and the sympathy of these friends is extended. The deceased was a brother of Judge Van Wagenen.
