Death of Miss Holly.

A very sad death to record this week is that of Miss Edna Holly, which occurred on Saturday night last. Deceased was the daughter of the late W.D.F. Holly. A few weeks ago she went from the home of her mother in Cedar township to teach school near Quimby. She made her home with her sister, Mrs. Gordon Stevenson. After teaching a week she was taken sick with typhoid fever. Her illness lasted three weeks.

The funeral took place at 2 o’clock on Monday, services being conducted at the school house near her mother’s place by Rev. Ferris, and the remains were laid to rest in the Cedar cemetery.

A brother of the deceased is also down with the same disease, on which account the services were not held at the family residence.

Deceased was bout 19 years of age. Her death was probably caused by her disposition to be energetic. She had worked very hard to prepare herself for teaching that she might be able to go to the state normal to complete her education. She was a young woman beloved by all who knew her and her sad death brought sorrow to many hearts.
