The Cherokee Democrat, November 27, 1895

Mr. James Wilcox died at his home near Cleghorn on the 22d. He was one of the pioneer settlers of that section. His death was very sudden, he having been up and dressed the day it occurred. The funeral occurred Sunday, the interment being made at Marcus.
