Heavy Loss to Farmer
Larabee, Jan. 4 – A large barn on the Montgomery farm, six miles north of here, was destroyed by fire early yesterday morning. Eight horses, 20 head of cattle, 2,000 bushel of grain, 20 tons of hay and a lot of machinery belonging to Mr. Langkin, tenant, was also burned. The building was fully insured. Langkin was not insured and his loss is very heavy. The family were all away attending a wedding. What started the fire is unknown.
