Happily Wedded

Dr. A.R. Beal surprised his Cherokee friends yesterday by getting married. They were not surprised at the doctor getting married, but he didn’t tell them anything about it in advance. The lady chosen for a life partner was Miss Ida M. Freeman of Milwaukee, She is a niece of B.F. Robie of Washta, with whom she has spent the past year and a half. The ceremony was performed at the home of Col. Beal in this city at 10 o’clock in the forenoon by Rev. W.H. Kearns. It was an unostentatious event, only the relatives being present. The couple left on the 11:15 train for Washta, where a comfortable home has been prepared. THE DEMOCRAT congratulated “Bert” on securing so charming and accomplished a wife and hopes that their married life may be as full of sunshine as their wedding day.
