An event in the county’s history was the issuing of Saturday of a marriage license to the oldest couple that ever applied for a permit to wed in the county. The parties were J.B. Chapman, aged 64, and Eunice L. Collins, who has been through just one year less of the storms and battles of life. May they yet live to enjoy many of its pleasures.
