Happily Wedded

Mr. W.T. Brownlie, of the firm of Brownlie & Niel, our new hardware dealers, returned from the east last evening accompanied by Mrs. Brownlie. Mr. Brownlie’s marriage took place at Eureka, Ill., Tuesday, June 28, and the charming young lady who became his wife was Miss Libbie Fleming. The officiating clergyman was Elder G.A. Miller of Normal, Ill. Eureka is the location of the college where Mr. B. graduated. The ceremony was at midnight, and at 3 o’clock the couple departed for Clinton, Ill., where they “stood up” at the marriage of two old school mates. From there they went to Decatur, where a brilliant reception was tendered them at the home of the groom’s parents. At present they are making their home with Rev. W.L. Ferris, but will soon go to housekeeping in the addition. The Democrat again welcomes these young people to a home in Cherokee.
