ROCKWELL MAN DIES IN 3 CAR ACCIDENT ON 65

Four Minnesotans in Hospital; Meservey Persons Escape Harm

Arthur Scholl, 51, Rockwell, was killed and four persons from Anoka, Minn., were seriously injured in an automobile accident involving three automobiles at 5:45 Saturday evening a mile and a half south of Mason City on highway 65. Six other persons received minor injuries.

Traffic on the highway was blocked for an hour by the tangled wreckage. The Scholl car was demolished, the others badly damaged.

Funeral services for Mr. Scholl will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a. m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic church in Rockwell with Father A. W. Klassen in charge. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart cemetery at Rockwell.

The body was taken to the Patterson funeral home in Rockwell Monday morning, where it [will] lay in state throughout the day. Rosary was to be said Monday at 8 p. m.

A coroner's inquest was being held by Coroner R. E. Smiley at the courthouse Monday afternoon.

Arthur Nathan Scholl was born May 4, 1890, in Franklin county near Sheffield.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine; two sons, Melvin and Evan, both at home; three daughters, Julia Mae and Eldena, both at home, and Sister M. Germaine at Sinsinawa, Wis.

He is also survived by seven brothers, Peter, Nick, William, George, Roy and Francis at Rockwell, and Albert at Olivia, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. John [Mary Agnes] Hogan and Mrs. Evan [Lucy Ann] Smith, both of Rockwell.

His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Scholl, and one sister, Mrs. John [Christina M.] Rohner, preceded him in death.
