ROCKWELL FARMER DIES AT DOUGHERTY

Phillip (sic, should be Philip) John Pitzenberger, 79, retired farmer died Monday afternoon at the home of his son, Richard, of rural Dougherty.

Mr. Pitzenberger lived in the Rockwell area for 55 years. He was born April 8, 1882, at St. Lucas, the son of John and Mary (Rezabeeck) Pitzenberger. June 12, 1903, he was married to Zita M. Hinker at Wesley. They lived on a farm near Rockwell.

He is survived by six sons, Amandus, Mason City; Phillip Joseph, Ravenwood, Missouri; Cletus, Parnell, Missouri; Irvin, Rockwell; John, Mason City; and Richard, rural Dougherty; daughter, Mrs. Harold (Carlotta) Hutinson, Mason City, 25 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1950, son Paul in 1916, six sixters and two brothers.

Mr. Pitzenberger was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockwell.

The Rosary was scheduled at the Colonial Chapel Tuesday at 8 p.m. Visitation is at the Richard Pitzenberger home after 1 p.m. Wednesday. The parish Rosary will be recited there at 8 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Raymond Bohrer, pastor of Sacred Heart Church, Rockwell, will offer the Requiem Mass at 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

The Hogan-McKee Colonial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
