Mrs. Charles Golding dies Saturday

Bolan: Friends and neigbors were shocked this past weekend to hear of the death of Mrs. Charles Golding. she died while in the library at Northwood on Saturday morning.

Services will be held Wednesday of this week at Nora Springs with burial in the Rock Falls Cemetery. The Golding farm is located 2 miles North of Bolan. She is survived by her husband and one son Richard who is in the armed services.

Mrs. Charles Golding rites Wednesday

Funeral services were held Wednesday September 13th/ 1962 at 2 PM at the Nora Springs Methodist Church for Mrs. Charles Edith Golding 47 who died of a heart attack Saturday September 8th, 1962 at the Northwood library. she had suffered a chronic heart condition since childhood.

The Rev. D. E. Dannaday officiated assisted by Rev. Clifford Kile of Bolan. Burial was in Rock Falls Cemetery. The Sheckler Funeral home of Nora Springs was in charge of the arrangements.

Born at Mason City March 17, 1915 she was the daughter of Roy & Edith Ferrier Bowen. She was married to Charles Golding in Mason City September 1, 1934 and they had farmed near Northwood since 1949.

Survivors are her husband and a son Richard with the army in Thailand, her mother Mrs. Roy Bowen, Rock Falls and a brother Floyd Bowen of Rock Falls.
