DEATHS
MRS. HULDA CONVERSE.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hulda A. Converse, 77, who died at 2 p. m. Friday of a heart ailment at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Howard Moore, 1224 Avlon avenue, will be at 10 a. m. Monday at Kearns Garden chapel. Rev. E. V. Perkins, pastor of Falls Avenue Wesleyan Methodist church, will in charge of services. Burial will be at Rock Falls, Ia.

Born Mar. 11, 1868, in Germany, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Klepke, she came to the United States when 15 years old, and settled in Watertown, Wis. On July 4, 1892, she married James J. Converse at Fountain City, Wis., and a year later the couple moved to Winona, Minn. In 1905 they moved to a farm near Rock Falls, Ia., and lived there until coming to Waterloo in 1920.

Since her husband's death in 1930 she has made her home with her son, Faye Converse, 526 Leland avenue, and with Mrs. Moore.

Also surviving her are three other sons, Leoren, 1213 Avalon, Henry, also of 526 Leland, and Gustav, Kansas City, Mo.; two half brothers and one half sister, in Germany, who have not been heard from since the beginning of the war; eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
