Plan Rites for Mrs. Hollister

Services to Be at Methodist Church

Clear Lake -- Funeral services for Mrs. William Hollister, 85, who died at a Clear Lake nursing home Friday afternoon of the frailities of age, will be held at the First Methodist church Sunday at 2 o'clock.

The Rev. W. M. Hubbard, pastor, will conduct the rites and burial will be in Rock Falls cemetery. Ward's funeral home is in charge. Mrs. Hollister had been bedfast 4 years and barely able to care for herself for 10 years before that.

Born in Missouri

Mrs. Hollister was born Elizabeth Mitchell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Mitchell, at Rockport, Mo., Feb. 6, 1863. She came to Clear Lake with her parents in 1883 and, with the exception of 10 years at Rock Falls, spent the rest of her life in this community.

In August, 1886, she was married to Mr. Hollister, and to them was born one son, Welcome, who survives. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Mrs. C. E. (Katie) Olden and Mrs. Edith Stanley, both of Rock Falls, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Husband Died in 1927

Mrs. Hollister was preceded in death by her husband who died March 27, 1927, and is buried at Rock Falls; her parents; a brother, Thomas Mitchell, Swea City; and 4 sisters, Mrs. John Bontley, Monticello, Wis.; Mrs. Nicholas Zeller, North Dakota; Mrs. Martin Olson, Houston, Texas; and Mrs. Jake Sawyer, Clear Lake.

Mrs. Hollister was a member of the Methodist church.

A niece, Mrs. Ernest Dolfin, Madison, Wis., was to arrive Sunday morning to attend the services.
