DIED on DEC. 13 of WOUNDS
RECEIVED in ACTION in FRANCE

Pvt. Robert Widdrington Went Overseas in June;
Had Not Seen 2nd Child

Pvt. Robert E. WIDDRINGTON, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. WIDDRINGTON, West Haven, died on Dec. 13 of wounds received in action in France on Dec. 5. His wife, the former Irene PIPPERT of Mason City, and their 2 daughters live at Vancouver, Wash. Pvt. WIDDRINGTON had not seen his 2nd daughter, now 3 months old.

Pvt. WIDDRINGTON had been overseas since last June and had served in Italy before going to France. He was born in Mason City on Sept. 24, 1918, and attended the Mason City schools. Before entering the service in November, 1942, he was employed at Decker's.

Besides his parents and family he is survived by 2 sisters, Mrs. William JONES and Mrs. Harold ROBERTSON, both of West Haven.
