Succumbs Following Operation at Clinton
Pvt. Kenneth Dale Heimendinger, United States army, died Monday in Schick general hospital, Clinton, following an operation. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
Born in Britt, Private Heimendinger moved to Mason City with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Heimendinger, when he was a year old. He was graduated from the local high school in 1934, and entered business with his father [Heimendinger Transfer Line, Mason City].
He enlisted in the army in September, 1942, took pilot’s training and became an instructor in the air force.
Private Hemendinger is survived by his parents, his wife, the former Wanita (sic) Black, whom he married May 13, 1937, one son, 5, a brother, Henry, and a grandmother, Mrs. Henry Weiland of Britt.
He was a member of the First Methodist church of Mason City. The Major funeral home is in charge of arrangements. [Interment Memorial Cemetery, Mason City, Iowa.]

Funeral services for Pvt. Kenneth Dale Heimendinger, who died Monday in a hospital in Clinton, were held Thursday at 2:30 p. m. in the Major memorial chapel. Private Heimendinger was the husband of Wanda Black Heimendinger, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Heimendinger.
