Mason City - Floyd V. Mix, 88, of Mason City died Friday (March 24, 2000) at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. today at Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Ervin Linde officiating. Hogan Bremer Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., is in charge of arrangements.

Floyd was born March 19, 1912, in Jackson, Minn. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Pope on April 1, 1933, in Mason City. Floyd was a self-employed truck driver and resident of Mason City all his life. In retirement, he took care of his wife and moved to the I.O.O.F. Care Center after her death in 1992. Floyd was a member of the Mason City I.O.O.F. Lodge.

Floyd is survived by his two sons, Mike Mix and his wife, Mary, of St. Louis, Mo., and Tim Mix and his wife, Carole, of Nashville, Tenn; five grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, seven brothers, one sister and one grandchild.
