Edward E. Westover, 97, of 1000 9th Avenue S. Clear Lake, Iowa, Jan. 7 at a Mason City Hospital.

He was born March 1, 1885 in Genoa, Ill., the son of Fred and Mary Ann Westover. At the age of 4 he moved with his family to a farm near Swaledale. He attended rural school and farmed in the area most of his life. On Jan. 30, 1907 he married Geneva Bisgrove at Rockwell. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Survivors include his three sons, Glenn and George of Clear Lake and Edward Gene of Garner; two daughters, Ellen Mae (Mrs. Leonard) Ouverson of Clear Lake, and Mrs. Gertrude Marion of Ionia; two sisters, Mrs. Lucille Kopla ]Koplau] of Aurora, Colo. And Mrs. Nellie Bistil [Bestel] of St. Cloud, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, one grandson, one great-grandson, two sisters and two brothers.

Services for Mr. Westover were held Jan. 11 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Clear Lake, with Rev. James Duster officiating. Organist was Marie Faber. A parish wake was held Jan. 10 at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel. Interment was in Clear Lake Cemetery. The Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Marshall Friest, Shelby Pierce, Robert Nichols, Wilbur Schmoll, Orville Stinehart and Roger Flaten.
