Mason City, Ia., March 31 – Special – The board of health assisted by the police of the city, intercepted the funeral of Patrick Flynn, which was to have been held at the Holy Family Church. Flynn died on Wednesday night and the funeral was to have been held Saturday morning at 8 o’clock. The hearse had gone to the home, the body had been placed in it and driven to the front of the church. But that is as far as it got and the authorities closed the front doors. The doctor had discovered that while Mr. Flynn had died from injuries sustained in falling over an embankment, some of the family had, since his death, taken sick with a quarantine able disease and a public funeral was not permitted. The body of Mr. Flynn was taken to the cemetery and consigned to the earth.
