The 87-year-old widow of Daniel Dougherty, a founder of the town of Dougherty in Cerro Gordo county, died after a brief illness of influenza.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Mary who was born March 1, 1829 and died Jan. 7, 1916. She is buried in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
