Obituary for Jerald D. Pals
Jerald "Jerry" D. Pals, 76 of Mason City, died Saturday, May 5th, 2018 at home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Fullerton Funeral Home, 123 2nd ST SE, Mason City. Officiating will be Rv. Dennis Burns. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 6:00 pm, Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Mason City. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Jerry Pals memorial fund.
Jerry was born in Clear Lake, Iowa the son of Henry “Hank” and Edna Pals. He was united in marriage to Lois on April 17, 1964 in Canton, South Dakota. To this union was born four children. Jerry was a “Jack of all Trades” and worked on anything mechanical, plumbing, heating, and construction. He was employed as a welder for Jason Chamberlin in Hampton and then for twenty nine and a half years for Wayne’s feed (Allied Mills) Continental Grain Company until they closed. He then started working for himself working on peoples, cars, lawn mowers, and anything to keep himself busy. He died while working on his own truck in his man cave. In the early years he loved going with Lois to dances with his family. Each year they would travel to Lake of the Ozarks to go fishing with family. He enjoyed the chance of winning with lottery scratch tickets, but most of all just being with his kids, grandkids and great grandkids. A song for the funeral is “Grandpa Told me So” because he did.
Those surviving are his wife Lois of 54 years, their four children Theresa, Sheila, Deanna, and David Pals all of Mason City, nine grandchildren, Jessica (Dillon) Angel, Shey Pals, Britany Meyer, Justine (Dre) Guilmant, Brandon Pals, Angelica Post, Joy Nichols, Teagan Pals, and Kaylee Pals, eleven Great Grandchildren, his sister Patty (Ron) Enabnit, Yates Center, KS; brother Ron Pals, Mason City; and sister-in-law Connie Pals, Warsaw, MO, along with many nieces and nephews.
His parents, two sisters Peggy Endress and Wanda Wessels, and two brothers Marvin and Allen Pals preceded Jerry in death.
