Frightful Cerro Gordo Co. Accident.
Mason City, Aug.—Yesterday afternoon about 4:30 a horrible accident happened about three miles west of this place on the Clear Lake road on the farm operated by Robert Watson, in which his son Frank a young man about 19 years of age, accidently blew his head off with a shot gun. It seems Frank and a hired man had been shooting during the day and that the gun was standing near a gate and that at the time of the accident they were on horse back and that Frank reached down from his horse and pulled the gun towards him, and in some manner it was discharged, blowing his brains into the trees nearby.
