Lost in Clear Lake.

N. L. Montgomery, representative of the Plano Manufacturing company, and N. S. Baird representative of the Simmons Hardware Company, of St. Louis, both residents of Mason City, are supposed to be lost in Clear Lake. They were out duck hunting in the afternoon when a squall came up and it is thought their boat was capsized and they were drowned.
P. S.—The bodies were recovered from the lake by use of grappling irons, Tuesday.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows Nelson S. Baird is buried in Elmwood St. Joseph Cemetery in Mason City and was born in 1855 and died Nov. 2, 1901.
