Frank Huss Rites to Be Wednesday
Frank E. Huss, 74, Dougherty tavern operator, died suddenly Sunday morning at his home in Dougherty. He had been a businessman in Dougherty 41 years.
Mr. Huss was born July 4, 1880, at Dumont, son of Nicholas and Mary (Jans) Huss. He was graduated from the schools at Dumont and the University of Iowa at Iowa City. He taught school at Dumont following graduation and then went into business at Dougherty.
Surviving are three sisters, Margaret McMenimen, Dougherty; Mrs. John (Maude) Clancy, Charles City; Mrs. Will (Ann) Wilson, Marble Rock, and a brother, Raymond Huss, Charles City.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Dougherty.
Requiem high Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m.
Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dougherty, with Father A.A. McAvoy as celebrant.
Interment will be at the Dumont Cemetery. The Colonial Funeral Home is in charge.
