DOUGHERTY GI DIES IN ACTION

DOUGHERTY- Mr. and Mrs. George Cook, Sr., received word that their only son, Pvt. George Cook Jr., 18, was killed in action on Luzon May 19. He was in action but 16 days.

Besides his parents he leaves a sister, Marilyn

The young soldier received his training in Camp Hood, Texas, and Camp Roberts, Cal. He was a graduate of the Greene high school.
