Womans's Rites at Dougherty

Solemn Requiem High Mass Held For Miss McGee in St. Patrick's

Dougherty- Solemn requiem high mass for Miss Sadie McGee who died Oct. 22, was held at St. Patrick's church at Dougherty on Thursday at 9:30 o'clock.

The Rev. P.J. Boyle of Strawberry Point, cousin of Miss McGee, was celebrant, with the Rev. J. M. Campbell,Otter Creek as deaon; the Rev. J. H. McMahon, Cresco, and the Rev. B. Fromelt of Roseville, master of ceremoines.
Other priest in the sanctuary were the Rev. J. Collins, Dougherty, and the Rev. P. LaVallette of Rockford.
The sermon was preached by Father Collins.

Miss McGee taught in schools of Cerro Gordo county for several years,after which she completed a pharmacy course at Highland Park College at Des Moines in 1918.

She was employed as pharmacist at Dougherty and Fairbank. For the past several years she had been in charge of the drug department of St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital in Dubuque.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. T. C. Ryan, Dougherty, at whose home she died, and Mrs Mary Dowling, Mason City; two brothers, M.J.McGee, Dougherty and J.D. McGee, Modesta Cal.

She was preceded in death by a younger sister, Alice who died in 1918.

Pall bearers were Emmet Ryan, Justin Ryan, Walter McGee, Pat Boyle of Dougherty and Dan Dowling and William Hughes of Mason City.
