Wednesday, October 05, 2003MASON CITY — Thomas “Mac” Dresbach, 70, of Mason City, died Monday Oct. 20, 2003] at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.
Memorial services for “Mac” will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Grace United Methodist Church, 200 14th St. N.W. with the Rev. Sarah Rohret Odoom officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Gravside military rites will be conducted by the Mason City Veteran’s Memorial Association. There will be no visitation. Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given the “Mac” Dresbach Memorial Fund.
Thomas “Mac” Dresbach was born March 20, 1933, in Mason City, the son of Ralph and Ima Dresbach. “Mac” graduated from Clear Lake High School and served in the United States Army as a chief medic. Following his honorable discharge, “Mac” returned to Mason City and worked for Herb and George TV Repair.
“Mac” was united in marriage to Maxine Stille on June 21, 1959 in Goodell, Iowa. “Mac” worked for several area businesses, and his last employment was as an E.M.T. with Snell’s Ambulance Service. “Mac” enjoyed fishing, camping and took special pride in his vegetable garden.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Maxine Dresbach, of Mason City; son, Rodney Dresbach and wife, Lena, of Kalispell, Mont.; daughter, Tammy Dresbach, of Fairborn, Ohio; son, Major Terry Dresbach and wife, Sharon, of Richlands, N. C.; grandson, Aaron Dresbach, of Kalispell, Mont.; sister, Tomme Ann Weaver and husband, Harrison, of DeLand, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Fern Dresbach.
