CHANDLER, Ariz. -- John Evan Dodge, 71, of Chandler, Ariz., passed away on Saturday (April 6, 2002) at his home.

He was born Sept. 14, 1930, in Des Moines, and grew up in Mason City, graduating with the Class of 1948. He attended St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn.

John served as a staff sergeant in the Air Force during the Korean War.

He was a property manager with Norwest Bank in Sioux Falls, S.D., and in the private sector in Phoenix, Ariz.

He is survived by his wife, Joan (Lee); daughter, Jan, of Chandler, Ariz.; sons, Jay, of Sioux Falls, S.D., Jack, of Mitchell, S.D. and Jerry, of Lakeville, Minn.; and brother, Alan Dodge, of Mason City.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 13, 2002 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 N. Pennsylvania Ave. in Mason City.
