J. L. Barragy Funeral Set For Monday

John L. Barragy, 62, farmer and lifelong resident of the Rockwell community, died Thursday evening at his farm home.

Mr. Barragy was born July 9, 1901, in Rockwell, son of Terrance and Bridget (Treston) Barragy. He was married to Gladys Jacobs, Feb. 8, 1936 at Rockwell.

He was member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rockwell, and the Farm Bureau.

Surviving are his wife, a son Jerry Barragy, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Mary Jane) Haverly, Algona, and Jeannie Marie Barragy, at home and a grandchild.

Two brothers, Ed Barragy, Houston, Texas, and Jim Barragy, Route 1, Mason City, and a sister, Mrs. Frank (Mary) Lewis, Route 1, Mason City also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother in infancy and a daughter, Patty in infancy.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockwell. The Rev. Raymond S. Bohrer, pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Rockwell.

Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Saturday at the Patterson-James-Murphy Chapel at Rockwell, where the parish rosary has been scheduled for 8 p.m. Sunday.
