August 23, 2015MASON CITY --- Kim Brian Dean, 59, born Sept. 4, 1955, son of Mary E. and Frederic A. Dean, passed away Aug. 16, 2015, at Mercy Hospital, Mason City.
He is survived by life mate Joey Gaspari; one daughter and three sons, Cheyenne Welsch, Brian Dean-Crawford, Dakota Welsch, and Rusty Levenhagen; one stepson, Damon Torres; two grandchildren Braden Espinosa and Kaelynn Staudt; siblings Dawn, Scott, Gary, Mike, Terry, Marc, Steve and many nieces and nephews.
In childhood, Kim loved all animals, raising pigeons and rabbits.
Kim loved his night life, catching catfish. Most important was running his blue ticks, Penny and Lenny, through the woods. Penny was a Grand Night Champion and Lenny was a Night Champion.
Preceded in death by his mother, father and siblings Darlene Jamison, Terry Cahalan and Alan Dean.
His celebration of life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sept. 5, 2015, at East Park Shelter House No. 1, Mason City.
