Mason City --- Kyle Arthur, 32, of Appleton, WI and formerly of Mason City, passed away October 3, 2018.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Kyle's life will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd Street NE, Mason City, IA 50401 with Father Kenneth Gehling officiating. Inurnment will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2018 in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Rockwell, Iowa. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel prior to the memorial service.

Honoring his generous wish, Kyle shared the gift of life through organ and tissue donation with the ATS Foundation.

Kyle Scott Arthur was born on October 1, 1986 in Mason City to Jeffrey S. Arthur and Deborah J. Scholl. Kyle attended Mason City High School. He later attended classes at Hawkeye Tech in Waterloo. He spent several years in Waterloo where he worked at Dan Deery Motors, a job that let him stretch his inner tinkerer. Life then took Kyle to Wisconsin where he worked as a sous chef at the Raddison in Appleton.

Kyle had the brightest of smiles. He could talk to just about anyone. He had a kind heart and a love for animals. Kyle was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys and an Iowa Hawkeyes fan. Kyle had a passion for music, he found serenity in listening to songs and sharing them with others. He also enjoyed being outdoors and fishing. Kyle was a light that will be missed by many.

Those left to honor his memory include his father, Jeff (Jacquelyn) Arthur of Mason City; his brothers, Benjamin J. Check of Lakeville, MN and Andrew J. Arthur of Mason City; his step-father John Check of Lakeville, MN; paternal grandmother, Phyllis Arthur of Mason City; maternal grandfather, David Scholl of Rockwell; aunts and uncles, Sandy (Doug) Neuberger of Clear Lake, James Arthur, Joel Arthur, and Sheryl Arthur, Tim (Lisa) Scholl, John (Stephanie) Scholl all of Mason City, and Greg Scholl of Rockwell; and his beloved cousins, Rachelle (Mike) Moeller, Spencer (Holly) Neuberger, Elliot Neuberger, Dylan McLaughlin, Jeremy Siefken, Sadie Meints, Sam Siefken, Mattie Siefken, Mitchell Scholl, Natalie Scholl, Megan Scholl, Joseph Scholl, Andee Scholl, Maree Scholl and Ellie Scholl.

Those preceding him in death include his mother Deborah Check; paternal grandfather, Elmer Arthur; maternal grandmother, Mary Scholl; aunt, Kathy Siefken; and cousin, Olivia Neuberger.
