ROCKFORD, Ill. - Roland J. Bull, 72, of Rockford, Ill. went to be with his Lord on Sunday (Dec. 17, 2000). Roland was born Aug. 30, 1928, in Mason City, Iowa, to Guy and Bessie (Slack) Bull. He had lived the past 35 years in Machesney Park, moving there from Mason City, Iowa. He married Lois Reams on Aug. 27, 1948 in Waterloo, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife, Lois; two sons, Steven (Linda), of Glendale, Ariz., and Bruce (Kathy), of Rockford; daughter, Cheryl (David) Vorachek, of Rockford; one brother, Forrest (Ethel) of Mason City; four sisters, Doris Schloemer, Charlotte (Robert) Rush, Mildred Moorehead, all of Mason City, and Betty (Herluf) Jaspersen, of Missouri; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He loved his family, especially his grand and great-grandchildren whom he was so proud of.

He was predeceased by his parents; one son; eight brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Honquest Family Funeral Home, North Mulford Chapel, 4204 N. Mulford Rd. in Rockford, Ill., with the Rev. Bernice Fertitta, of the First Assembly of God Church, officiating. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until time of services in the funeral home. Burial will take place on Thursday in Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City.
