P.J. Mullaney Dead

The sad news of the sudden death last Saturday evening of Patrick J. Mullaney was received in Rockwell and vicinity with great sorrow. Mr. Mullaney had been suffering from a weak heart all spring, but it was thought his condition was improving and he was again taking up his work on the farm.
However, on Saturday evening when about to take a bath he was suddenly struck down with this dreadful disease, heart failure.

Patrick J.Mullaney was born in Grant County, Wisconsin, March 7, 1874 and died at his home three and a half miles southeast of Rockwell Saturday evening August 23, at the age of 45 years.

He leaves besides his wife and four children, one brother John of Minneapolis, and two sisters Mrs. N.J. Crowley of Chatfield, Minn., and Miss Tessie Mullaney of Virginia, Minn., to mourn his loss besides many friends and neighbors.

The funeral was held Tuesday morning at Sacred Heart church, Rev. Father Hartigan celebrating High mass in honor of the deceased.

The out of town relatives were: Mr. and Mrs. Dan Ennis Comfrey, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Ennis, of Minneapolis Minn.; Mrs. Wilbur Kelly of Willow River, Wis.; Will Mullaney of Ossian, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Lynch, Mr. and Mrs. N. Crowley and Miss Nellie Whelan of Chatfield, Minn.

A large concourse of friends and neighbors attended the services and followed the remains to their last resting place in Sacred Heart cemetery.
