John Veach Service Set for Wednesday

Requiem high mass will be celebrated for John Veach, 86, at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dougherty. Father A.A. McAvoy will officiate.

Mr. Veach died Monday at a Mason City hospital.
He had lived in the Dougherty vicinity 56 years, having moved to Mason City last September to make his home at 1014 Washington, N.W.

Born Nov. 5, 1859, in Jackson County, he was the son of Michael and Mary (Small) Veach. He was married to Anna Kelsh, Dec. 31, 1901, at Lamont.
They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Dec. 31, 1951.

He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church at Dougherty.

Surviving are his wife, a sister, Nan McGiffney, San Diego, Calf. and a brother, Charles Veach, Otter Creek.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Genevieve, four brothers and three sisters.

Burial will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Dougherty.

Friends may call at the Colonial Funeral Home until the time of services.
