John Boyle Services to be Monday (1952)

John J. Boyle, 80, retired farmer and a resident of Dougherty 75 years, died Friday at a Mason City hospital following a short illness.

Mr. Boyle was born March 28, 1872, at Scranton, the son of Timothy and Bridget Boyle and one of a family of nine children.
He was married to Clara Kennedy at Pine Island, Minn. and they made their home on a farm near Dougherty.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. R. W. Casebolt, two grandchildren Carol and Eddie Casebolt, Mason City, a sister, Mrs. Pat Kelly, and a brother, William Boyle, Dougherty, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1946 and by two brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, at Dougherty, with Father P. J. Maquire officiating.
Interment will be at the church cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Colonial Funeral Home after 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rosary will be said there at 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
