Services to Be at Dougherty Church
(July 5, 1952)

Mrs Ellen Breen, 75, died at her home in Dougherty late Saturday afternoon, following a short illness. She had been a resident of Dougherty for 54 years.

Mrs Breen was born April 23, 1877, in Epworth, the daughter of Timothy and Ellen O'Connor.
She was married to John C. Breen at Epworth, Aug. 20, 1898.
They moved to Dougherty, where they had made their home.

Surviving are four sons, Raymond Breen of Dougherty, Dr. Gerald Breen, Lawler; Francis Breen, Denver, Colo.; and Conner Breen, Waterloo; two daughters, Mrs Frank (Margaret) Goerner, San Diego, Calif.; and Mrs Albert (Mable) Eidt, Des Moines.

Two sisters, Sister Mary Monica, Dubuque and Mrs James Casey Epworth, and a brother Jim O'Connor, Dougherty also survive.
She was prededed in death by her husband John C. Breen, and a daughter Monica.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church in Dougherty. The body will lie in state at the Breen home in Dougherty until the time of services.
The Rosary will be said there Monday at 9 p.m.
Burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Dougherty.
The Colonial Funeral Home in charge.
