CHARLES CITY - Ernestine “Ernie” N. Ceradsky, 93 of Charles City, died Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, Iowa.

Ernestine Norene was born on September 3, 1924 in Mason City, Iowa the daughter of Joseph William and Bertha T. “Johnson” Morris. She graduated from the Oakdale High School in Louisiana with the class of 1941. She then attended Hamilton Business College in Mason City. On August 25, 1951 she was united in marriage to Garland Ceradsky at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.

She worked with her husband at Garland's Refrigeration for many years. Her memberships included the First Christian Disciples of Christ Church where she was a member of the Friendship Circle. She also was a member of the Women of the Moose #1190, Charles City woman's Club, the YMCA Heritage Club. She loved traveling with Garland DeWayne and Nancy and the Heritage Club tours. She enjoyed having coffee with her dear friends, reading, and doing counted cross stitch and crocheting. Ernie and Garland were often seen at the girl's softball games in town.

Those surviving her are her two sons DeWayne and his wife Nancy of Waterloo, and Kenneth and his wife Shirley of Wichita, KS; five grandchildren Shane (Amy) Ceradsky, Cameron (Karen) Ceradsky, Eric Ceradsky, Kim (Scott) Anderson, and Lynette (Rus) Hartman, 8 Great Grandchildren and 3 step-Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren and 2 Step-Great-Great-Grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Husband Garland, Daughter Nola Marie Shorey, and three sisters Barbara Johnson, Connie O'Donnell and Lillian Lehman.
